On Saturday 26th February at the Sennen Community Centre members of the Sennen, Marazion and St. Just clubs met for their spring assessment and grading sessions. Examiners were: Area coach Clive Double (Black belt 5th Dan); Marazion club instructor Clint Hosking (Black belt 3rd Dan); Lauren Double (Black belt 1st Dan); Luke Jackson and Dave Warwick (both Black belts). Assisting were Andrew Symons, Andy Blythe and Denzil Searle (all Brown belts).
The day was organised into a juniors session followed by much needed refreshments and the awarding of belts and tags, it was then the turn of the older students to be graded on their efforts and skills.
The following grades were attained
Green belt 2 blue tags: Kerra Jackson
Orange belt 2 green tags: Sol Warwick
Orange belt: Roy McInnes and Jamie Hooper
Yellow belt 3 orange tags: Fran Tremeer
Yellow belt 2 orange tags: Jonathan Butcher
Yellow belt 1 orange tag: Sophie Thomas, Alex Hunt & Jack Evans
Yellow belt: Ben Bailey, Ellie Pritchard, Sian Kettlewell & Jessica Stone
White belt 3 yellow tags: Alex Rowe, Aiden Jehu and Emma Jehu
White belt 1 yellow tag: Harvey Rowe, William Hosking, Gwilym Pritchard, Aidan Tremeer, Sophie Tidey, Stephen Sedgeman and Jade Sedgeman.
