Hilfield August 2013 Once again we headed off to deepest Dorset for our 2013 stay at Hilfield Friary. The weekend was a chance for all clubs to get together and train. Although less people than hoped, we were able to spend nearly 8 hours over the weekend of really useful – and enjoyable – training.

I think all would agree that our training visit to Hilfield Friary was a truely memorable experience. On Saturday and Sunday morning Derek led us through 8 hours of training, from basic stances and techniques to the more complicated. A spirit of cooperation was stressed and practiced. Sennen MayoShinDo club member Andy Blythe, a Brown Belt Karateka and an irreplaceable King Pin of our Cornwall clubs is leaving us to start a new life in Cambridgeshire with his lovely wife Barbara.
